On Saturday, January 9th, we're returning to the Wayward Coffeehouse in the Greenwood area of Seattle for our first performance of 2010. There's no cover charge. The music starts at 8PM. We'd love to see you there, sipping an espresso or cup of tea and singing along.

Garys Cat Pirate Captain Jack Sparrow left us last night. He will be miss greatly, for his wonderful personality and womanizing ways (big flirt). He was a big cuddly lump and I will miss him very much.
We miss him much already and send him gently on to the Goddess. |

So I am as per usuall running behind on *everything* Seasonal... Though GB and I actually did get a Tree and decorate it. It was quite fun, and interesting to hear the stories behind the ornaments that we put up, some being older than he is....LOL.
I got our new Kitty space worked out...so the cat tree is in the living room so they can hang out and look out the window. I spent Sat and Sunday making home made Cards...what fun. I havent been plain old crafty in a while. Thanks to Woosie I had all sorts of intesting bits to play with, and ideas from some of the stuff we did at Poly camp. Much fun was had.
I still have some stuff to do...but my one thing was that I wasnt buying anything commercial this year... I have Succeeded, Scarves made by Sue for my girls....they are so beautiful. Hand made soap from my friend Jess out in maple valley... fresh Goats milk soap, it smells devine. Then the other thing i got was himalayan pink salt candle holders from one of my clients. I love mine, and want to spread the love.
My kids have been warned that their stuff is probably not going to get shipped till early Jan...lol cause thats how far behind I am. I am taking a week off at the holidays and am going to play catchup with my sewing and my own house. Good lord that doesnt sound like enough time...haha.
I am also planning on going to the Olympus Spa on my birthday (Dec 30th) if anyone would like to join me that would be Fabulous. I am hoping to head out to Nights Kitchen in the evening for the opening.
Reminder/Poke. My *Party* is on the 2nd of Jan, Its a laid back bring your christmas leftovers, listen to wonderful live music kinda night. So my Crazier week in between all the Crazy weeks is coming to a close. The wedding dress that I have been working on is 99% done. Steampunk ball is coming up and hats, cravats and other sundry stuff for others is done. Yay. I am not going as we have family obligations and traditions that are happening on this weekend. So to all of you going with out me...have fun.
I am also going to be running a christmas sale, for Maid 4 You.

Yah, and my horror scope says to stop making the lists and start doing...LOL so here goes last list.
The house got cleaned on the weekend so that gets ticked off: and I have someone to come rescue me from the cat hair and vaccum while I am at someone elses house, doing the same thing...sigh.
I am actually going to get a little christmas tree this year. Its been rough, last years was really tiny so I am working my way up. The year before the poor thing never even made it in the front door...I am not sure what is up with all of this...but one step at a time
Gifts: I am doing home made, or made by friends gifts this year.
My three girls: done ordered(cause the stuff they want will take longer)
Garys: LOL that was a trade or two, hehehe I love those. So his are done too.
Others are in the works, kinda.
Things to get out of my Sewing room: Wedding Dress for a friend needs to be done and out by Thursday.
Shirt on order: can wait, lol (I told her not till Jan anyway.)
Make some more hats for the steampunk vendor fair on Saturday.
My girls have ordered: Victorian style Nightgowns, mother and daughter sets...need to shope for fabric for those.
well thats all I can think of right now and need to bail out the door and work. |

So things with my SD therapy are winding down. I am going to therapy about once a week now, and as per usual with any exercise am hit and miss. Though with taking the pills I am a bit better but that has never been a strong suit in my life either. They are mostly supplements, glucosamine/condroiten/msm, Herbal greens and Fish oils all for maintaining joint health.
So, interestingly one of the questions that they ask each time I go is on a scale of 1- 10 how much pain I am in, and the %-age of pain I have been in. I really had to think about that. I am a masochist, I have been sucking this pain up for 10 yrs.(give or take) so it was really interesting to me to try and put numbers on something like this. Hhehe so my solution was to figure out how I think I felt...the add about 10% or more to it, because stuff that would make most people cry just pisses me off.
The really cool thing was I came home from work on Wed, and was trying to figure out what was missing... it was the fact that I had NO back pain at all after a pretty intense 4hour cleaning session. Yay me. This comes and goes, I am still not doing any yoga, long walks or other exercise. Though I am back down to about a size 8 again, that has mostly been my lifestyle changes with food catching up with me.
The best thing has been the Tapping, it has helped me to deal with the high stress load that I was carrying. Its has been financially rewarding, and physically as well. The hard work is paying off, and it just keeps getting better.
So all in all things are looking up, cars are running and we even have a spare now..LOL. I have been spending some really fun creative time in the sewing room, and if my friend has her way my Hats will end up on a web-site soon. I will keep you posted.

I am looking for Hat Pin findings, I need an 6 to 8 inch shaft and end. I just looked on line for them and the shipping costs more than what I need. None of the stores I have been to so far have carried them. Or if someone is putting in an order for findings and doesnt mind piggy backing one on for me.

I would like to do yesterday over.... sigh
It started out just peachy.... and argument with GB, and that pretty much continued untill he dropped me at work. Oh yah... we are down to one car again for an unknown period. So getting all my crap up the stairs to my clients and I realize i am dripping.... coffee and that my purse managed to catch most of it, which was why I didnt notice. My cell of course lives at the bottom of said purse.... both of which are Garbage as we speak.
Rawr... so clean house untill I am blind. Then look at the clock and crap...run out the door to catch the bus to the club.... Yep its wed. and I am cashiering too, riding a bus route that I have never taken and trusting to fate to get me there...cause, well no phone. Manage to leave my spine brace, and shower bag behind at my clients place as well...rawr.
The bus driver was cute fun and flirty, and got me where I was going, *throwing kisses at the goddess* and on time even. Though my back hurt like crazy and all I wanted to do was curl up and hurt somewhere private...lol. The only part about this is that I cant go home, I have to stay till the bitter end....*clean up* and wait for GB to take me home.
I already hate not having my phone....and I really hate not having my car.
So right now the only way to get ahold of me is my house phone or email... if you dont have the former and want it ...just pop me the email.

Well my first work day back from Vacation and it went pretty well. I had my Decompression therapy this morning, and that is still going really well. I slept on an air mattress for 7 days and my back doesnt hurt anymore than it did sleeping in my regular bed. That also doesnt count the two nights at Poly Camp...oooh those mattresses were hard...lol. So all in all success.
Though unfortunately the night before we had to pack up...I woke up with a tooth ache of all things...and Pain... whoo it pretty much shot me right out of bed. I saw the dentist today and its an absess and of course means a replacement of a crown. I kinda knew this one was coming but was hoping to stave it off for a bit longer.... No such luck.
Other than that everything seems much better...my stress level is at what seems managable right now...and I let something go that needed letting go. That worked wonders, and the responsible thing to do it seems.
I have a nice full work schedule...and a very full sewing schedule, this will make for full work weeks...but it feels good at this point as opposed to what was happening before was that I had this stack of stuff on my head that would never go away. So now I am at one thing at a time and one day at a time. |

Wow,
Well we now know that crappy weather will not stop Polycampers...lol. It was at least nice the first day to get unpacked in, and the last day to pack up in...LOL
And inbetween....Yaaaay poly goodness.
The renenewal of old aquainances, the making of new ones. The goodness of making coffee drinks for everyone...my favorite thing to do.
I really stepped out this year and actually stepped out from behind the coffee counter and got to a couple of the different things being presented. Thanks to Woosie for her classes on name tags and goddesses, it was creative and fun, though I think the most fun was watching others enjoy thier creative maddness. The other class was that of fabric art, what a blast to be able to quickly create a fun fabric painting.
Also to all the people who working in the Kitchen to give us such wonderful meals another thank you as well. It was nice even with the food challenges I have to enjoy great food with good people.
What a blast I had again this year, and look forward to planning and helping out with next years.

| Spinal Decompression Update |

So this is the real start to things, this will be my first 4 days in a row. The Doc also said that they are upping the weight as well so we will see how that feels. So far so good, I put in a heavy weekend with only one real day off and I feel fine. I seem to be sleeping better already or at least I seem to have more energy...lol though I know what hope can do that.
Most of the radiating pain seems to be gone, and there are two little spots left right on each side of my lower spine. Probably right where the hernia's are. But thats all that seems to hurt right now....*me jumping for joy*
I have also been tapping this... (tapping.com) helping to try and mitigate fear about all of this. That could be why the hope part is winning....lol. Ohhhh and did a tapping on *Perfectionizm* the other day... wow... How much crap did I find surrounding that, only a small minor mountain full. Nicely tied up in *mother love*, control etc... much fun or not.
Anyway success, I will take in any form and that seems to be happening here.

| MRI News |

So, I as some of you know hurt I my back not long after I moved down here. See_Tree_Me has kept me upright and walking and working for most of that time. Pain killers have unfortunately been a part of my life that I could do with out...but I tried one week... Ohhh was that ever a FAIL.
So, after a bad bout of numbness and tingling down my left leg again. I decided it was time to pull my head out of the sand... (or you know where...lol) and really deal with the issue.
First I had to find out what the issue really was. The funny thing that answered that question was an info-mertial. What the hell.
So monday I went in to find out what Spinal Decompression is all about. Thats also the day I had the mri...sigh. Today I found out that I have a slipped disk, that is herniated, and a separate other disk that is herniated and others that have some issues but are not causing the pain that I am in right now.
Most of you know what i do for a living...clean houses. Which makes all of the above hurt worse. Without treatment I can possibly work for another two years, and end up on an opperating table. So I am having the treatments, this means that you will see much less of me, as most of my focus with be on working and healing. The other unfortunate surprise, is that this is not covered by medical.
So I will be hunting down new clients, to help cover the cost. So if you know anyone needing Housekeeping or in need of Seamstress ....please point them in my general direction. |

My appologies and thats partly why I am doing this... feeling scattered/brain fried about trying to set up a party for Him and not doing very well at getting things organized... Which kinda sucks because ususally I am pretty good at this kind of thing.
So Please come to the Hump Party this Wed the 24th to pet my Man into his 50th Year. Heheh it would be totally sweet if I could have rounded up 50 girls to do that with but I am thinking that 50 sweet hands will do the trick for him I am pretty sure...LOL
